  • Research Management

Research is fundamental to the mission of Partners HealthCare. Partners supports the research activities at our member institutions by facilitating administrative, financial, and regulatory requirements of our research efforts. The departments at Partners that support the research enterprise at our hospitals are listed below. Additionally, there are hospital-specific support offices – for more information on those, visit the research hospitals in the global navigation pane.

The Pre-Award team provides support and assistance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and Department Administrators (DAs) as they prepare proposals for submission to external sponsors. In addition, they are responsible for the Just-in-Time and Progress Report processes.  The Pre-Award team works closely with colleagues on RM's Post-Award, Contracts and Research Finance teams to support these research projects throughout various stages in the lifecycle of a grant.
